I am, primarily, a wedding photographer.
And yet.
For a few special families, I find myself turning back to my business roots: family photography. Forget the tired idea of “stand in a random field and smile after rushing out the door to get the sunset” portrait session.
These are emotional, tender, intimate photography sessions for families with creative vibes, taken exclusively at home. A love letter to the day-to-day, a celebration of the here and now.
Families are exclusively photographed at home: with their pets, on their couch, in their yard or property, and in the clothes they wear every day.
No props needed and no new clothing required. Your old band tee shirt, the one your kids love to see you in every Saturday, deserves a time to shine!
Instead of rushing out of the door to meet the photographer at the park, we create a moment for you to slow down and be together, barefoot on your own couch.

Sometimes, I share the “art director” job with older kids, inviting them to create the photos they envision for their family. The results: truth and beauty, in photos that are yours forever.

As an artist and mother, I understand that the "everyday" moments with children today will be their fondest memories in the decades to come.
Something you do often - nursing the baby, whipping up your signature blueberry pancakes for dinner, doing a craft project, or goofing off in the back garden - is worth photographing beautifully.
